Panerai appoints new chief executive officer
The announcement follows the departure of Jean-Marc Pontroué, who has served as Panerai's CEO since 2018, concluding a 25-year career with the group
Luxury watch brand Panerai has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Perrin, currently head of specialist watchmakers distribution, as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 April 2025.
His appointment draws on his 33 years of experience within Richemont, including roles at Cartier and Van Cleef and Arpels.
Most recently, he also spent eight years leading Richemont’s Specialist Watchmakers Distribution.
The announcement follows the departure of Jean-Marc Pontroué, who has served as Panerai’s CEO since 2018, concluding a 25-year career with the group.
In his new role, Perrin will report to Richemont’s CEO Nicolas Bos.
Pontroué has played a key role in shaping Panerai’s strategy and global presence, following his leadership positions at Montblanc and Roger Dubuis.
Founded in Florence in 1860, Panerai was acquired by the Richemont Group in 1997.
The group’s watches are sold across the world through an exclusive network of distributors and Panerai boutiques.
