Asda has appointed two new senior leaders to help drive its growth ambitions in 2025.

The supermarket giant has named Lauren Lepley as vice president Central Operations and Mark Henry will join in January from M&S as vice president Retail South, with responsibility for Asda’s southern store operations.

Both Lepley and Henry will report to Asda’s new chief operations officer Matt Heslop, who joins the business in January.

Lepley, who will join in early December from Morrisons, has more than 14 years’ grocery sector experience with Tesco and Morrisons, where she was formerly group supply chain director, with full end to end accountability for the company’s supply chain operations.

Meanwhile, Henry brings over 25 years operational experience to Asda, including international experience as Chief Operating Officer at Lidl Finland and most recently as group asset protection lead for M&S.

Lord Rose, Asda chairman, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Lauren and Mark to Asda. They both bring a wealth of retail experience and proven track records in delivering operational excellence. This will be invaluable as we strengthen our business and deliver our long-term growth ambitions.”
