Founded in 2015 in Manchester, the clothing brand supplies sports teams including the England Cricket Team, Red Bull and McLaren Formula One teams, as well as football shirts for the likes of the Republic of Ireland, Rangers, Bayer Leverkusen, and Everton.

Set to open this August, the store will showcase the brand’s collection of men’s and women’s sportswear in addition to various sports team-branded clothing including Red Bull Racing, England Cricket and McLaren Formula One.

Pete Alecock, commercial director at Castore, said: “We are really excited to be opening our latest store at Derbion as we look to bring our quality array of sportswear to Derby shoppers.

“Derbion’s fantastic array of big name brands means it brings in shoppers from across the East Midlands making it the perfect place for our first store in the city.”

Beth McDonald, managing director at Derbion, added: “Castore has significantly expanded in recent years in response to increasing demand from customers seeking high quality performance sportswear. With the recent opening of JD’s new flagship store, we have first-hand experience of how leading sportswear brands continue to attract a wide array of shoppers to Derbion.

“Castore’s arrival is a testament to Derbion’s progressive leasing strategy which has reaffirmed the centre’s position as the East Midlands’ premier retail and leisure destination. The strategy has been effective, customers are responding with their feet and Derbion’s reputation is helping it to attract more big-name brands such as Castore.”
