Some of the brands that will be available and exclusive to Sephora UK include Tarte Cosmetics, Ilia Beauty, Makeup By Mario, One/Size by Patrick Starr, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Skinfix, Vegamour, as well as the Sephora Collection.

The brand first opened its doors in the UK back in 2000 with a store in Bluewater, Kent. It had nine stores in total, but ultimately left the UK in 2005. Reports at the time suggested high rents and competition from Boots were the issue.

Chris de Lapuente, CEO of Sephora, said: “We are delighted to bring Sephora to the UK, responding to Britain’s strong demand for our unique prestige beauty experience.”
