Lidl to become first supermarket to sell on TikTok shop
Lidl announced that the bundle will also feature a bespoke Lidl-branded microfibre towel and a resistance band set

Lidl has announced that it is set to become the first British supermarket to sell products on TikTok shop.
From 9am on 20 February people will be able to buy 3000 high protein bundles from the Lidl GB TikTok account.
The bundle, worth over £30, will be available to purchase for £5 and all proceeds from the pop-up venture will go to children’s charity the NSPCC.
Each bundle will include IronMaxx 100% Whey Protein or IronMaxx 100% Vegan Protein Zero, Lidl GB’s High Protein Bars, Belbake Protein Pancake Mix, Crownfield High Protein Flapjacks, Maribel High Protein Peanut Butter and Snacktastic High Protein Pop Chips.
Lidl announced that the bundle will also feature a bespoke Lidl-branded microfibre towel and a resistance band set.
However, the company has cautioned that this is a small scale promotion in support of its new extended High Protein range, and not a full scale or permanent e-commerce proposition.
Joanna Gomer, marketing director of Lidl GB said: “Our high protein range is a firm fan favourite with more than 150 high-protein products sold in our stores every minute and our customers across the country taking to social media to share their hauls each week.
“With the number of TikTok shoppers growing rapidly, we’re proud to be the first supermarket meeting our customers directly on the platform with our unique offering, creating these exclusive bundles to showcase our new exciting products.”
Lidl currently operates around 12,350 stores and more than 220 goods distribution and logistics centers in 31 countries and employs around 375,000 people.
