B&Q expands Deliveroo trial to five more London stores

This expansion with Deliveroo means a wider choice of the retailer’s products will be made available

B&Q has announced the expansion of its trial with Deliveroo, which means it now includes five of its larger London stores that offer more than 9,500 products for on-demand delivery.

News comes after the service was initially announced from its high street B&Q Local stores in August 2024.

The DIY retailer’s stores in Beckton, Sidcup, Watford, Acton and Romford, will be available on Deliveroo – with deliveries expected to arrive in as little as 25 minutes.

This expansion with Deliveroo means a wider choice of the retailer’s products will be made available, such as paint brands, and gardening, storage and home furnishing products.

Amelie Gallichan-Todd, supply and logistics director at B&Q, said: “We’re constantly looking at ways we can enhance the experience of our customers, and by extending our service with Deliveroo to five of our larger stores, we’re increasing the range of products available, to help meet the increasing consumer demand for speed and convenience as well as options for delivery.”

Suzy McClintock, VP of new verticals at Deliveroo, added: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with B&Q, adding five larger stores allowing us to deliver thousands of DIY products to even more customers’ doors across London.

“Our customers value the convenience of ordering everything from masking tape and dust sheets to spanners and paint for on-demand delivery, enabling them to continue their projects without delay.”
