Iceland expands product range in latest innovation push

Iceland Foods and The Food Warehouse have announced the launch of over 800 new products as part of its latest innovation push.
The new products land in store and online from this week and include a variety of “exclusive” product offerings, including a launch of Jamie Oliver’s new frozen dishes.
Highlights from the expanded range include a full Piccolino range relaunch, as well as 14 new Piccolino lines, featuring Chilli Prawn Linguine, Bolognese Bites and Calzone Meat Feasts, alongside the existing two-course £10 meal deal for two.
The supermarket is also unveiling a Blue Dragon range relaunch, in addition to five new product innovations, including Tempura Prawns, Teriyaki Beef Noodles, Katsu Chicken, and Salt and Pepper Sweet Chilli Chicken Pizza.
Meanwhile, the retailer’s TGI Friday’s offering also continues to grow, with Iceland reporting sales of 25% year-on-year.
Paul Dhaliwal, chief commercial officer at Iceland, said: “We’re delighted to launch over 800 new products across Iceland and The Food Warehouse as we head into Autumn, offering a wide range of products for our customers.
“We’re always listening to feedback from our shoppers and looking for ways to bring them new, innovative and delicious options from some of the biggest brands. We can’t wait for our customers to get their hands on the new range and sample some of the fantastic products and deals on offer.”
Slimming World is also set to launch new additions to Iceland’s range, including Beef Hotpot, Sweet Potato Curry Lunch bowls and Carrot and Coriander soup.
