Dior appoints Miu Miu CEO as managing director

She then joined Miu Miu in 2020 as general manager and was promoted to CEO in March 2023

LVMH-owned Christine Dior has announced the appointment of Miu Miu CEO Benedetta Petruzzo to the executive committee as managing director, effective 15 October 2024.

Petruzzo will officially replace current managing director Charles Delapalme and will report to Delphine Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of Christian Dior Couture.

In her new role, Petruzzo will be responsible for leading all the maison’s product teams. She will also oversee the supply chain teams, as well as the information systems and data department.

Petruzzo began her career as a consultant at Bain and Co, and after five years joined Italian fashion house Kering Eyewear for another five years, latterly as executive VP of Kering Eyewear USA.

She then joined Miu Miu in 2020 as general manager and was promoted to CEO in March 2023.

During her time at the helm, in the first half of 2024, Miu Miu’s sales increased 93% year on year.

Petruzzo said: “I am deeply honoured to join Dior. I am proud to have been entrusted with this great responsibility and to join such an iconic house.

“I would like to warmly thank Delphine Arnault for the trust she has given me, and I look forward to collaborating closely with the executive committee and the zones presidents to further contribute to the development of Dior’s business.”

Arnault added: “I am convinced that Benedetta’s talent and leadership will be major assets in the continued development of Dior’s activities and its international influence.

“Her expertise in the luxury market will persist in enhancing the desirability and success of Dior. Together, with the excellence of the teams in place, we will carry on building the future and strengthening our organisation. We wish her every success in her new role.”
