Zalando launches invite-only shopping experience for hyped items

For Zalando’s Plus customers, the chance to receive an invite is even higher as a dedicated part of the stock is allocated to them for every launch

Zalando is introducing an exclusive shopping experience for hyped products – items with limited quantities, such as special editions, but high demand, that usually sell out within minutes. 

All customers can now request an invitation in the Zalando app to buy a hyped article, taking away the time pressure and allowing them to purchase hyped items in the same way and with the same convenience they are used to from Zalando. When they receive an invitation, customers get a dedicated time slot to make the purchase. 

For Zalando’s Plus customers, the chance to receive an invite is even higher as a dedicated part of the stock is allocated to them for every launch. Following the launch of Stories on Zalando, Zalando’s immersive visual-first fashion experience, invite-only now adds a matching purchasing experience on the same level, proving Zalando’s continued commitment to inspiration and cultural relevance paired with the highest level of convenience.

Pascal Hahn, VP transactions at Zalando, said: “Our invite-only experience is a true win-win-win for our customers, our partners and us. Customers now have a more exciting and convenient experience when buying their favourite hyped articles. Partners can tell a compelling story of their product and give customers time to enjoy it, as customers do not have to rush to the checkout anymore. 

“For us at Zalando, it means being able to offer our customers the most exciting assortment that brands can present in the most optimal way.” 

The first product to launch within Stories on Zalando including the new release experience will be the FENTY x PUMA Avanti, available to customers in the majority of Zalando markets. Sign-up invitations will be sent to customers on 19 December 2023.
