B&M axes online home delivery offering
The service was first launched in June 2022 for a range of its bulkier products that were hard for consumers to transport from store to home

B&M has axed its online home delivery service after trialling the offering, according to coverage from Retail Week.
According to Retail Week, the discount retailer was still offering home delivery through its website in January but discovered that the service was made unavailable in February.
The service was first launched in June 2022 for a range of its bulkier products that were hard for consumers to transport from store to home.
Smaller items were then added to its home delivery service, allowing customers to choose from a range of approximately 1,000 products across toys, electricals, garden furniture and bedding.
While the group’s separate site, B&M Garden Buildings, still has its delivery options available on large items such as sheds and greenhouses, its homeware site no longer features the delivery option. Customers can now only browse products ahead of buying them in-store.
In the group’s latest financial results, B&M reported strong sales over Christmas due to consumers seeking out value options as budgets continue to tighten across many households.
Alex Russo, chief executive of B&M, said: “Despite the challenging macroeconomic environment, we will continue to work hard to help both existing and new customers manage the cost-of-living crisis.”
