A&F partners with Gophr to expand same-day delivery to UK stores

Abercrombie and Fitch Co. has announced its plans to expand its same-day delivery service to the majority of its UK store fleet, which will include over 30 Abercrombie and Fitch, Abercrombie Kids and Hollister locations. The retailer has partnered with Stuart, Gophr and software provider, Delivery Solutions, to “build on its fulfilment capabilities”. The service will allow customers within certain postal codes to receive products from its stores within the same day, following the successful launch of a same-day delivery option in the US, which was introduced in October 2021. According to the brand, Abercrombie and Fitch, Abercrombie Kids, Hollister, Social Tourist and Gilly Hicks will now be accessible to UK customers on its websites and mobile apps to shop inventory that is available in their local stores for same-day delivery. Each brand’s website features a ‘Get It Fast’ filter to find items that are available for same-day delivery at checkout. Once the same-day delivery order is placed, customers receive tracking updates via text to determine when their order will arrive. The expansion of Abercrombie and Fitch’s same-day delivery is part of the brand’s initiative to transform its supply chain and meet its customers’ evolving needs and shopping preferences. The same-day delivery service reportedly adds another option to the retailer’s portfolio of omnichannel services, which includes ‘purchase online pick-up in store’, ‘curbside pickup’, ‘reserve in store', ‘ship from store’, as well as traditional parcel home delivery.
