Furniture Village has announced the appointment of Mike Broughton, the group’s IT and business development director, to its board of directors.
Broughton has held senior IT positions for global corporations across multiple sectors, with his career highlights including roles at William Hill, Asda Walmart, Dixons Carphone, FSA and Barclays Bank.
He said: “My role is focused on doing things better as well as doing better things through innovation and technology.
“The lack of politics and speed of decision-making at FV means that if we spot a commercial opportunity, we go for it. In lockdown, we introduced our new 3D store within four days from idea to execution. It’s exhilarating. There’s never a dull moment.”
