£2.4m Moran’s Retail overhaul to create 30 jobs

Northern Irish grocery store chain, Moray’s Retail has announced it is to overhaul three stores creating 30 new jobs.

The retailer will redevelop outlets in Derry, Coleraine and Ballykelly, creating jobs in catering, management, retail and admin. Along with redevelopment work, the retailer will also open a new state-of-the-art store in Derry, with managing director John Moran calling it “exciting times” for the company. The expansion at Moray’s Retail will bring its total workforce to 150.

Moran said: “Providing great working environments for our people has been central to our commitment to investing heavily in our family business. Our dedicated employees are the best and some have been part of the team for over 20 years.”

Moran’s Retail, which operates under the Supervalu and Centra brands, will undertake significant upgrade work at its Coleraine and Ballykelly stores.
